The Institute provides comprehensive services for the persons with Speech & Hearing Impairment, Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy, Autim and Multiple Disabilities through its various programme such as Prevention from disabilities, Early Identification, Early Intervention, Community Based Rehabilitation, Home Based Training Programme etc. Various Specialists are engaged in these process at the Institute. Apart from this, the Institute is also involved in various programmes related to Human resource Development in the field of Disability management and rehabilitation.

• SCHOOL FOR THE Hearing Impaired & Mentally Retarded Children: The institute is running a school for the hearing impaired & mentally retarded. Education to the H. I. is based on oral-aural approach. The programme is assisted by the ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. The school is perceived to be one of the best in the Eastern part of the country. Several children of the school is leading a normal productive life by achieving distinction in their profession. Earlier the school was up to VIII std. • REACH & RELIEF CENTRE for the persons with autism, Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy & Multiple Disabilities: National Trust, Govt. of India funded this center in 2002. This is an excellent center catering the needs of it’s categories of disabled population. It has the residential as well as day care facilities. Presently government support is not available for this programme. This is being carried out by institute’s own resources.
  
  
• DISTRIBUTION OF AIDS & APPLIANCES : This programmes is being funded by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. Free hearing aids are distributed to the needy hearing impaired persons.
  
  
• HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT Professional Courses : The Institute is permanently recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India as well as is the study center of various Universities offering programmes in disability management and rehabilitation.
  
  
• National Trust Programme: With the combined efforts of this institute and National Trust for the welfare of persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disability a well-equipped Reach and Relief Centre having well-qualified and dedicated specialists have been started in the year 2001.
  

  SNAC: The main objectives of the State Nodal Agency Centre are to provide all assistance for the welfare of persons with disabilities in collaboration with various NGOs & GO's.

• CLINICAL FACILITIES : The institute is providing clinical services in the area of rehabilitation. The clinic has almost all departments required for the management & rehabilitation of disability. There are departments of Speech & Language Pathology, Audiology, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Special Education. • VOCATIONAL TRAINING: The department of vocational training of this institute provides training in various trades to the disabled. The experts are engaged in Bamboo Craft, Docra Art, Papier Mache, Basic Computer Education, Training in Prosthetic & Orthotic Appliances, Cutting, Tailoring, Stitching, Embroidery & Beauty Culture.
