School for the Hearing Impaired and Mental Retarded children: The Institute is running a school for the children with hearing impairment & mental retardation. Education to the Hearing Impaired children is based on oral-aural approach. The school is perceived to be one of the best in the Eastern part of the country. Several children of the school are leading a normal productive life by achieving distinction in their profession. Earlier the school was upto std. VIII. It has been upgraded to secondary level since 2006-07 after setting affiliation from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). The first batch passed out with flying colours. Out of 19 students 15 passed out.
